The way a sports bra is made and what it is made out of are the main concerns when choosing one that’s right for you.
Compression Bra-
The classic sports bras, securing the breasts by holding them tightly against the body. This style is best for smaller-busted women. Those who are a C cup or larger can also wear them for low-impact activities.
Constructed/encapsulation bras-
More like everyday bras, made with pieces, hooks and even underwires-which means that they offer more shape and support. And, because they separate the breasts, they provide better airflow than compression bras. However, constructed bras are harder to fit.
Fabrics-
Fabrics play a role in support. The more Lycra a brassiere contains, the more supportive it will be. But you should consider various fabrics also for their ability to wick away moisture. Pure cotton simply absorbs moisture; you are better served by something with an inside layer made from a moisture-managing fabric, such as CoolMax.
